Since it will shield your face, scalp, and neck from the sun, a wide-brimmed hat will provide the best coverage. Wear a hat if you’re going to be outside for longer than a few minutes.

Look for a SPF of 30 or higher and make sure it is labeled as “broadspectrum,” indicating that it shields both UVA and UVB rays. Use a spray or a cream for your scalp when applying sunscreen to your scalp. Apply it liberally, as it is often impossible to tell how much money you have expended. If you are swimming or sweating, reapply every two hours to or more often.
3 – 3. Stay in the Shade: Whenever possible, keep in the shade. Shade gives the best protection from the sun’s rays. Shade under trees, umbrellas, or outdoor shelters can be difficult to find. If there isn’t much shade, consider investing in an umbrella or a canopy so you can remain in the shade when outdoors.
