haunted halloween cover contest entry

Confessions of a Bookaholic and A Life Bound By Books are currently accepting entries for their Haunted Halloween cover contest. While I’m not really a designer (yet I still have the gall to critique cover art), I thought I’d try my hand at it. Submitted entries will go through 3 rounds of voting; covers with the most votes will proceed to the next round.

Chimera: a Greek mythological creature, also synonymous with dream, fantasy, or delusion.

Hmm. I’m not quite sure what Chimera is about, but I took a visual cue from it being synonymous with “delusion.” Perhaps it’s about some sort of horrific monster that makes you delusional? If I think too much about it I may end up giving myself nightmares.

Both fonts were free to download over at dafont.com. The photo is of Hubs. Luckily, he doesn’t actually look that creepy in real life.

I’m intrigued. But I have an eye phobia, so I’d probably have to cover the book with something when it was laying around the house.

    I wish I’d seen this earlier, I would’ve entered!
